A restaurant is not a menu. It is an evening.

Zur Linde sits in Risch-Rotkreuz, away from any high street. People do not stumble in, they decide to come. That decision happens on a phone, days before, and it is made on a feeling rather than on a list of dishes. The old site listed dishes.

01, the room

Photograph the evening, not the plate

Food photography sells food. This place sells an evening: warm light, laid tables, the terrace when the valley turns gold. So the camera went in at that hour, on a Leica, and stayed on the room instead of the plate.

02, the decision

Everything a guest needs, one thumb away

Reserve, see the menu, find the opening hours, call. Four things, and each of them reachable without a second tap. The reservation button travels with you down the whole page, on the phone as well as on the desk.

03, the year

A house that keeps its own calendar

A restaurant year has its own rhythm: Mother's Day, the summer party, the seasonal menu. Those live in the CMS, so the kitchen publishes an occasion the same week it decides on it, without calling anyone.
